Sometimes, temptation can be something as simple as using offensive language or something more significant, like intentionally lying to others to get something out of it.
We are often faced with many temptations. Because of this, it is easy to say that at certain times, it is very easy for us to do something bad to succumb to temptation in order to find the easy way out.
This means that in today’s world, which is very conflicted and always in a moral dilemma, it is difficult to inspire others to do good. Books about being fishers of men for Christians often depict what we, Christians, should do as we try to live the life that Jesus called for us—a life that is not only good and upholds moral virtues but also inspires others to lead the life Jesus wants for us and to do all things for His Greater Glory.

Don’t Be A Hypocrite
One of the best leadership techniques is always to lead by example and ask questions. As Christians, we should believe this because Jesus Christ has always been the perfect example of what it means to live a life following God’s plan. This means that to inspire others to do good, we must align our lives with the virtues we teach and aspire to be good people to model the values we want to see in the world.
Provide Support
Providing support does not just mean listening to others’ problems, but it also means empathizing with them and trying to put yourself in their shoes. Once you establish this, you can understand what they genuinely need. Do they want a solution? Do they want someone to listen to what they are feeling, or do they just want to feel supported in whatever decision they make? When we are empathetic and provide support to others who feel lost, we become a beacon of hope and inspire the goodness of others. Remember that even in our lowest times, we often need support to continue to do good things and preach the Gospel, even though it seems easy to take the easy way out.
Develop a Vision
Developing a vision means helping others see the end goal. Many people assume that the end goal is simply going to Heaven, which means that our motivation to do good things is our fear of not being able to achieve everlasting happiness with God, or to be blunt, our fear of going to hell. While, this is a good form of motivation, it will not last long.
Because of this, when we aim to inspire others to do good, we have to develop a vision that it is not just about ourselves – our personal goal of going to heaven. Keep in mind that our role and motivation as Christians is that we all play a part in God’s plan and that all our actions can lead to His Greater Glory. This, in turn, can help create a better world that is always fair, just, and kind, and not the world we currently live in. This mindset is a great way to inspire others to do good. Not only is it more selfless and thereby more fulfilling, but it is also better grounding for us on what it truly means to be a Christian.
Motivate the Goodness of Others
We often think of motivation as soccer moms screaming at their kids that they can do it, that they got this, or that they’re so close. But in real life, motivation and ways to inspire others to do good does not always work that way. Motivation does not mean that when we see someone on the road picking up trash, we scream, “Wow, that’s amazing,” or “You’re doing a great thing.”
In real life, motivation means recognizing the achievements of others by being more appreciative of them. For example, you could say things like, “Thank you for calling me when I had a tough time,” or “It was very supportive of you to come to my event.” These are simple ways for us to recognize the goodness of others and motivate them to continue to do better.
Teach Through Multiple Perspectives
Most of the time, it is not enough to just inspire others to do good with our own singular point of view because we are just one person. It is irrefutable that people often believe something that is held true to a vast majority, or to put it simply, there is power in numbers. Because of this, as we strive to inspire others to do good, we must expose them to many examples and perspectives of what it means to do good and how the lives of others have changed because of this.
